520 | _aThis year’ s URDN Summer school, the in the seriesfocused on techniques and technologies for sustainable urban developement . the Summer school was introduced with presentations by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur technische Zusammenarbeit(GTZ) and some 30 popers were then submitted and discussed by participants from 15 countries. Current dynamics of urban development in the South suffer from problems of unsstainable supply of resources and removal of wastes. The popers thus focused on innovative approaches to improving on the management of urban resources and the infrastructure necessary to deliver these. These proceedings include all the papers and presentaions where these were not accompanied by a paper, together with summaries of workshop discussions and introductions to the document as a whole and to the three major topic sections. | ||
