| Summary, etc. | Il serait difficile d imaginer aujourd hui ce qui etait Paris avant 1850 sans les photos de Charles Marville. Encor un grand partie médiéval,son coeur etait surpeuplé et plus souvent misérable .Au tour de Sait Germain des prés ,Saint Nikolas -des -champs l ile de la Cité ,au portes du Louvre ou sur la Montagne -Saint Genevieve ,ce n était qu un noeud de ruelles sineuses mal ,éclairées et insalubres .Sans ces documents ,il serait tout aussi difficile d imaginer l importance des travaux interpris a Paris sous le second Empire |
